How to create a landing page
Decide what one action the page is for
One page, one ask: book a call, request a quote, download the guide, or join the list. Pick one and stay with it.
Two asks halve the page, because now the visitor has a decision to make about your page instead of about your offer.
The same rule applies to the words on the button. If a visitor cannot predict what happens after they click, the button is doing two jobs at once.
Write the ask down before you write a word of copy. Every section after that either helps the ask or goes.
Write the top of the page first
The first screen has to say what this is, who it is for, and what happens next. Plain words beat clever ones here.
Then back it up with a short proof line, a photo of the real thing, and a price if you have one. Vague pages feel like a trap.
Say the price, or say why you cannot. A range with an explanation reads as honest, while silence about money reads as a sales call in waiting.
Do not open with a mission statement. Nobody has ever booked a call because a page told them that quality matters.
Keep paragraphs short. People skim first and read second, so make the skim carry the meaning.
The parts every landing page needs
After the top of the page, the rest is a short checklist.
Then read the page on a slow connection, because a page that takes its time is a page people leave. Send yourself a test through the form before you send anyone else.
- A form that asks for the least you can work with.
- One clear button, repeated once further down.
- Answers to the two objections you hear most.
- A way to reach a human without hunting for it.
- A page title and description that match what the page says.
How Microsite Generator handles this
The lead form is built in, so you are not gluing one on. Leads go to your CRM, your inbox, Slack, Teams, or any webhook.
Connecting takes one credential you generate yourself. A Send test lead button proves the connection before a real one flows — no sign-in screens, no permission pop-ups.
Every delivery is signed, so the system on the other end can tell the lead came from your site.
The page itself is individually built, then checked by the compliance gate against Google Search Essentials and modern web standards. A genuinely useful page is the point, and the form is how people answer it.

Frequently asked questions
How long should a landing page be?
Long enough to answer the questions that stop someone from acting, and no longer.
Should the form be at the top or the bottom?
Put one near the top and repeat it further down. People decide at different points.
How many fields should the form have?
Ask for the least you can work with. Every extra field is another reason to stop.
Where do the leads go?
To your CRM, your inbox, Slack, Teams, or any webhook. A test lead proves the connection before a real one arrives.
