Domain Activation for E-commerce Sellers
When a separate site helps a seller
Your store is built to sell everything you carry. Sometimes one product needs more room than a store page will ever give it.
Three cases come up again and again. A brand you own outright, a product that needs explaining before anyone buys it, or a name left over from a campaign people still type in.
In each case the store stays the store. The extra site does the explaining and sends the reader back to buy when they are ready.
That division of labor is what makes the second site worth its renewal — it earns a job rather than sitting on the shelf.
What belongs on the page
Shoppers arrive with questions your product listing was too short to answer. This is the place to answer them properly.
- What the thing is, in one sentence a stranger would understand
- Who it suits, and just as usefully, who it does not suit
- Materials, sizes, fit or specifications, written out rather than hidden in a chart
- Shipping and returns in plain words, with no small print games
- How to reach a person before buying, and where to buy when ready
Do not clone your store
The fastest way to waste a domain is to copy your category pages onto it. Two near-identical pages help nobody, and a search engine has to pick one of them anyway.
The same goes for spinning up a site per keyword with the same words rearranged. That is the scaled content pattern Google's guidance was written to catch.
Give the new site a reason to exist that the store page does not cover. Depth, honesty, and the detail your competitors leave out will do it.
A buying guide, a sizing walkthrough or an honest comparison of your own two models all qualify.
How Microsite Generator handles this
Start with the pages the agent writes from your answers, then add whatever the product needs. About, Contact and FAQ pages take one click, and you can create a page of your own with any name and write it yourself at no charge.
Page views and conversions are counted on our servers. No tracking script and no cookie is added to your site, which keeps the page light for the shopper.
Every page has to clear the compliance gate before it publishes, so the site you add is checked against Google Search Essentials and modern web standards. Pages are individually built for the product, which is what keeps them genuinely useful.

Frequently asked questions
Will a separate site compete with my store?
Not if it does a different job. Keep the checkout on the store and use the extra site to explain and to answer questions.
Can I put a buy button on it?
You can link to the product page on your store. The purchase itself stays where your checkout already lives.
What about duplicate content?
Do not copy your store pages across. Write different, deeper content, or the two pages compete with each other.
Does the site slow down with tracking?
There is no tracking script and no cookie added by us. Views and conversions are counted on the server instead.
