API access: what Microsite Generator offers instead
The honest answer is that there is no customer API
You will not find an API key screen anywhere in the product, because there is nothing to key. There is no endpoint for making sites, no client library, and no way to push pages in from outside.
That is on purpose. Every site here is individually built in a chat with the agent, and every page must clear the compliance gate — a check that runs before anything publishes.
An open write endpoint would be a quick way to flood that gate. Its whole job is to keep what goes live genuinely useful, and checked against Google Search Essentials and modern web standards.
The webhook does the job people want an API for
Ask what you would really do with an API, and the answer is almost always the same: move the lead into your own systems the second it lands.
That is what the webhook does. Every lead your form catches is posted to any address you control, in a shape plain enough for a developer to read in an hour.
Every delivery is signed, so your end can check the request came from us and not from a stranger who found your URL. The signature does the work an API key would do, at the point where data actually moves.
Point an automation tool at it instead
No developer on hand? The webhook is a plain HTTP POST, and most automation tools take one as a trigger, so you can wire it up yourself.
- Zapier, Make and n8n — all three start on an inbound webhook, so your leads reach almost any app.
- Direct delivery — HubSpot, Salesforce, GoHighLevel, Zoho CRM, Pipedrive, Mailchimp, Kit, ActiveCampaign, Slack, Microsoft Teams and email.
- One pasted key — no sign-in screen; you make the credential yourself and paste it in.
- Send test lead — proves the wiring works before a real lead rides on it.
- No duplicates — HubSpot, Zoho and Pipedrive match on email instead of adding a second contact.
When you just want a copy of the data
Part of what people ask an API for is simply a copy of the data, and you can pull that in one click.
Every lead carries a status and a note you can edit on the Leads page. Export every lead across every site to CSV or Excel whenever you like.
Any spreadsheet reads that file. We would rather show you a real export button than dress one up as a developer platform.

Frequently asked questions
Can I get an API key?
Yes, a developer key for MCP clients: Settings → Developer access → Generate new key. It lets Claude Desktop or Claude Code read what your dashboard shows, and every write goes through the same checks as the dashboard. There is no separate public REST API.
Can I create or edit sites with code?
No. Sites are built and edited in a chat with the agent, and every page passes the compliance gate before it publishes.
How do leads reach my own systems?
Each lead is posted to any webhook address you control, and every delivery is signed so your end can check it.
Can I export my leads without code?
Yes. One click exports every lead across every site to CSV or Excel from the Leads page.
