Change one thing on every site at once
What a site-wide change is
A site-wide change is one edit that reaches every site, or every page, that carries the same words or details. Instead of opening each site, hunting for the old text and typing the new text again, you say what should change once and review the result before it is applied.
When you run several sites, the same business details and the same phrases tend to appear in many places. A phone number sits in a footer, an offer name sits in a headline, an email address sits behind a contact button. When one of them changes, the slow part is not the new wording. It is remembering every place the old wording lives. The tools on this page exist for that moment.
These tools share two habits. You see what will change before it changes, and every site is checked again as it is for any other edit.
Change a phrase on every site you own
You can do this in two ways, and both reach the same result: the CMS tab of your design studio, or a message to your Growth Agent.
In the design studio:
- Open the CMS tab.
- Type the words to find, then type the words you want instead.
- Read the preview. It shows how many times the words appear on each of your sites, and it changes nothing.
- When the list looks right, change them all.
Each site is re-checked before it changes, and published sites update right away. Because the preview comes first, you can notice a site that carries the phrase more often than you expected, or one that does not carry it at all, before anything is touched.
With your Growth Agent, the conversation is plainer still. Tell it the words you want changed and what they should say now. For example, if an offer called Spring Tune-Up becomes Summer Tune-Up, you say so in your own words. The agent shows you which of your sites carry the phrase, changes nothing until you say go, and then updates them with the same checks as any edit.
Change a phrase on every page of one site
Sometimes the phrase only matters on a single site. The Pages screen has its own version of the same tool:
- On the Pages screen, type the words to find and what they should say instead.
- Look through every place the words appear. Nothing has changed yet.
- Change all of them in one save. That includes your site's goal line.
The save runs the same checks as any edit, and it keeps the previous version, so the earlier wording is not lost. The checks themselves are described on our page about compliance checking.
Change your email, booking link or address on every site
Contact details are the kind of change that applies to every site. Your contact email and your booking link join your address, your phone number and your opening hours in the same tool. You change one detail once, you see every site and what it says now, and then you update them all. Each site is re-checked before it changes.
You can also do this by asking. Tell the agent your new address, phone number or opening hours. It shows you each of your sites and what it says now, and then, when you say go, it changes them all through the usual checks.
Seeing what each site says now is the useful part. If one site was set up with a different phone number from the others, you find that out in the list, before you confirm, rather than after.
Your business details, kept once and used on every site, sit under the CMS tab of the design studio. Our design studio page describes the other tabs.
One mailing address for all your sites
Your mailing address is a little different from the rest, because it is not a phrase on a page. It is the address that appears on the automatic emails your sites send. Here is how to set it for every site together:
- Open Settings and save your mailing address once.
- Mark it as your default. Every site uses it, including sites you build later.
- If a few sites need something different, search your list, select them and apply another saved address.
The search and the selection are what keep this practical when you own many sites: you pick out the few exceptions instead of editing the many. To see where the mailing address appears and what happens when a site has none, read how your site's address works.
Check that nothing was missed
After a site-wide change, you may want to confirm the old wording is gone. Your agent can search every page of your site for a word or phrase and tell you which pages it appears on and where. Run the search for the old phrase after the change, and any page that still carries it is named.
What it does not do
- It does not change anything before you confirm. The preview, the list of sites and the agent's summary all change nothing until you say go.
- It does not skip the checks. Every change goes through the same checks as any edit, and each site is re-checked before it changes.
- It does not force one mailing address everywhere. The default applies to every site, and any site that needs a different address can have another saved address.
Site-wide changes are one part of what the platform does. The platform overview lists the rest, and the Ask AI page describes the agent you work with.

Frequently asked questions
Does anything change before I confirm?
No. The preview in the design studio, the list of sites the agent shows you, and the matches on the Pages screen all change nothing. The change is made only after you choose to apply it or tell the agent to go.
Can I change a phrase on just one site?
Yes. On the Pages screen, type the words to find and what they should say instead, look through every place they appear, and change them all in one save. The save runs the same checks as any edit and keeps the previous version.
What happens to sites that are already published?
They update right away once you confirm the change, and each site is re-checked before it changes.
Which contact details can I change on every site at once?
Your contact email, your booking link, your address, your phone number and your opening hours. You change one once, see every site and what it says now, and then update them all.
Can one site have a different mailing address from the rest?
Yes. In Settings you save a mailing address once and mark it as your default, and every site uses it. For sites that need something different, you search your list, select them and apply another saved address.
