Meta Pixel: what is and isn't supported

Your microsite ships without the Meta Pixel, and there is no box in the product to paste one into. Page views and conversions are counted on the server instead, and that counting adds no JavaScript and no cookies to your site.

The pixel is not missing, it is declined

This is a decision, not a gap in the build order. No advertising pixel goes into a published microsite, and the only third-party tag the platform can add is Google Analytics 4, when you paste your own measurement ID. The Meta Pixel is simply the one people ask about most.

Once a platform starts pasting other companies' code into pages it publishes, it can no longer tell you what those pages load or who receives what. We would rather keep that answer short and true.

It is the same logic as the compliance gate. A page that has to pass a check before it publishes cannot also run any code it likes afterward.

What a pixel costs the page it sits on

Every third-party script is weight, a lookup, and a bet on someone else's uptime. Your page has one job. Load, and answer the question.

A pixel also brings consent duties, a banner to design, and a privacy line you have to write and mean.

These pages are individually built to be read cleanly by people and by machines. The capsule at the top is written so an answer engine could quote it alone — and by answer engine we mean the AI answers in ChatGPT and Google. Less machinery keeps that surface simple.

What you can measure instead

Views and conversions are counted when your page is served. Your conversion rate is leads divided by views, shown per site and across your account, over a range you pick.

It is aggregate by design. No visitor identity is kept, so there is no per-person journey to open.

Judge a page on whether it is genuinely useful to the person who landed on it. Then use views and leads to check whether your judgement held.

Your ad stack still gets the lead

The reason to want a pixel is usually the lead, not the pixel. Every lead your form catches goes to HubSpot, Salesforce, GoHighLevel, Zoho CRM, Pipedrive, Mailchimp, Kit, ActiveCampaign, Slack, Microsoft Teams, email, or any webhook you name.

Webhook deliveries are signed, so the address that receives one can check where it came from. Your systems hear about a lead from the system that recorded one, which beats a browser script firing on a thank-you page and hoping.

Frequently asked questions

Can I install the Meta Pixel on my microsite?

No. The platform does not add the Meta Pixel or any other advertising pixel to published microsites. The only third-party tag it can add is Google Analytics 4, and only when you paste your own measurement ID.

Is there a pixel ID field anywhere in the product?

No. There is no pixel ID field, and no custom script slot on a published page.

How are conversions counted without a pixel?

Page views and form submissions are recorded on the server, and that counting adds no JavaScript and no cookies to your site.

Can my ad platform still learn about a lead?

Leads are delivered by signed webhook or direct CRM connection, so any system you control can be told and can pass it on.
