Text size, button size and page layout
Bigger text and bigger buttons
On the Design tab, choose a larger text size or button size for your site. The steps are the same ones you use for color and fonts:
- Choose a size.
- Preview it on a sample. Nothing on your site changes while you preview.
- Save it.
Every size keeps text readable and buttons easy to press. Saving re-runs every check before anything publishes, so a size change goes through the same gate as any other edit. For colors, fonts and the logo, see the brand page.
One pattern for every look change
Color, fonts and size all work the same way on the Design tab: choose, preview, save. The preview is always a preview, and the save is the only step that touches your site. Because the pattern repeats, you only have to learn it once. The page on colors, fonts and your logo covers the other two.
After a save, your readiness score updates, because it updates whenever you edit or publish. Under the score you see which version of the compliance ruleset your site was checked against and on what date. The readiness score page explains it.
Page width, tables and the credit line
Ask the agent in the conversation to set your page width, add a pricing table or a comparison table, or turn your site's credit line on or off. For a table, give it your own figures and words, for example "add my prices". The change runs through the same checks as every other edit before it saves.
Readable by design
Text contrast is one of the checks each page runs before it goes live, alongside headings, image alt text and page language. On the Design screen you can see how well each text color stands out from its background. A larger size is a choice you make on top of that, and it does not replace the checks.
Layout choices you can ask for
The agent can change each section's layout and width, the look of the top of the page, and spacing. On a multi-page site it can also change the order of the home page's sections. It can change the main button's words and where it goes. If you want your video to lead, a video-forward hero layout puts the video full width and larger, with your headline and copy underneath. See hero video.
A video at the top of your site is click-to-load: nothing loads or plays until a visitor presses play. If you have not added your own photo, a real preview image shows behind the play button instead of a blank box. Your logo can also be made small, medium, large or extra large, in the header and footer together.
The design studio shows the structures as visual previews, each naming every section it contains, so you can compare page shapes before you choose one.
Where the lead form sits is a layout choice too. It has its own page, lead form settings.
Your menu on a phone
On narrow screens your site's navigation menu collapses into a tap-to-open icon, so your links are never cut off or hidden on a phone. When your business name and menu cannot sit side by side on one line, your site switches to its compact menu, so your full name stays on show and every menu link stays easy to reach.
Changing the words is a different screen
Size and layout change how a page looks. The words on it are edited on the Pages screen, where Edit copy opens four fields: the title, the headline, the supporting line under it and the search description. Leave any field blank and it stays exactly as it is. Saving re-runs the same compliance checks the page was built with.
Which tool for which change
- Larger text or buttons: the Design tab, with a preview first.
- Page width, a pricing table, a comparison table or the credit line: ask the agent.
- Section layout, spacing and the main button: ask the agent.
- A video that leads the page: ask the agent for the video-forward layout.
- The menu on a phone: nothing to set. It collapses by itself.
If you change your mind
Every edit keeps the previous version. Open Sites, then More, then Versions, and choose Roll back to this. Because a preview never changes your live site, you can try a size and decide afterwards. If you save a size and then prefer the old one, rolling back brings the earlier version back.
What it does not do
- A preview is shown on a sample. It does not change your live site.
- Font size and weight for a single element are not built yet.
- Custom CSS and animation controls are not built yet.
- A tablet or mobile preview switch is not built yet. The menu changes for narrow screens by itself, as described above.
- There is no Undo button. Rolling back a version is the way back today.
When you ask for one of these, the agent says so, offers the nearest thing that works, and offers to send your request to the team in your words. See what the Growth Agent can do and the mobile optimization overview.

Frequently asked questions
Does the preview change my live site?
No. You preview a larger text or button size on a sample without changing anything. Your site changes only when you save.
What checks run when I save a size?
Saving re-runs every check before anything publishes, the same as any other edit.
How do I set my page width?
Ask the agent in the conversation. It runs the change through the same checks as every other edit before it saves.
What happens to my menu on a phone?
On narrow screens it collapses into a tap-to-open icon. If your business name and menu cannot fit on one line, your site switches to a compact menu.
Can I set the font size of a single heading?
Not today. Font size and weight for a single element are not built yet, and the agent tells you so when you ask.
