Downloading your sites, leads and files
A copy of your sites
The button that downloads every site as a file you can keep lives on your Account page. Beside it is a clear list of what the download cannot carry, so you know before you rely on it. The downloaded copy is named the way your screens name your site, and its manifest records when it was made, in Eastern time, and which version of the platform made it.
When the site download opens
Downloading a copy of your sites opens after 45 days of paid subscription, counted from your first payment. Your Account page shows the date it opens. After a cancellation, the reminder emails offer the download only once it is available, so you are never pointed at a button that is not open yet.
- Open your Account page.
- Find the download and read the date it opens.
- When it is open, use the button to download every site.
If you are thinking about leaving, read account safety and deleting your account first, because deleting an account deletes its sites.
Your leads, in one file
The Leads page has Export all in two forms, CSV and Excel. One click downloads every lead across your whole account, every site and not just one, and each lead shows the site's actual address beside its name, with every field the visitor filled in, such as name, email, phone, service and message. You can also delete a test or bogus lead, with a confirmation step. The page itself shows the most recent 100 leads and says so when you have more, rather than quietly cutting the list. Pick your U.S. time zone in Account settings and every lead's time displays in it; leave it unset and your browser's own time zone is used. See lead status, notes and export.
Your conversation, as a text file
The chat keeps your whole conversation while you move between pages, not only the latest part. Copy chat and the Download button give you all of it once, in order, including the full text of any note you pasted. When a long paste turns into an attachment, click it to open a window with the complete text, where you can view it or copy it.
Brand guidelines and your site's history
Each site card offers a brand guidelines file with your colors and their codes, fonts, spacing and logo. You can open it in any browser or print it. Your site's history reads in plain words, covering what changed, when, whether you or the agent made the change, and what the compliance check said about it, including the check that stopped a change. You can download the whole log as a file. See colors, fonts and logo.
Files you put in
A photo straight off a phone is made web-sized before it is added, and you are told what changed. Logos in SVG form are left exactly as they are. If a file is rejected, the message tells you exactly why.
- Logo. A square or wide logo in PNG, JPG, SVG or WebP.
- Hero image. A wide landscape image in JPG, PNG or WebP. A one-line description of it is required, because it becomes the image's alt text.
- iPhone photos. Export a HEIC photo as a JPG first.
Your own legal documents
Your Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and Accessibility Statement each have a slot on the Pages screen, and each is empty until you fill it. No document yet? Download the questions for that slot, in Word or plain text, work through them with your own lawyer, and upload what comes back. Accepted files are .txt and .docx. Whatever you upload publishes exactly as written, unchanged. We never write the document and never tell you whether it is compliant. See legal pages.
A short list before you leave
- Export your leads from the Leads page, in CSV or Excel.
- Check the date your site download opens on the Account page, and download your sites once it is open.
- Download your conversation if you want a record of what you decided.
- Keep the brand guidelines file for each site.
Where each file comes from
- A copy of every site: the Account page.
- All your leads: Export all on the Leads page, as CSV or Excel.
- Your conversation: Copy chat and the Download button in the chat.
- Brand guidelines: the site card.
- The history log of a site: its history, as a file.
- Question sheets for your legal pages: the Pages screen, in Word or plain text.
What it does not do
- The site download does not open before 45 days of paid subscription, and a reminder email does not offer it before then.
- The download cannot carry everything. The list beside the button says what it cannot.
- There is no customer API. If you need data out in another way, the API access page says what is offered instead.
- A brand guidelines file is a record of your choices. It does not promise any result.
- Downloading a file does not change anything on your live sites.
The platform overview lists everything the platform does today.
