Edit your pages and add new ones from the Pages screen
What the Pages screen shows
Every page on the site you are viewing appears in one list. Each row gives the page's address, its word count, its number of FAQ items if it has structured FAQ blocks, its current headline and its page title.
The top of the Pages screen, and the top of the Metadata screen, explains in three short steps how your content pages get made: they are written with AI from your own business facts, and checked before they save. You see how a page came to be where you manage it, not only in a help article.
Your Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and Accessibility Statement are different. They sit in their own section, Your legal pages, as three slots with set addresses, and each stays empty until you upload your own document. The page on legal pages explains that part.
Edit the words of a page
Click Edit copy on any page and four fields open. Title is the browser tab and the headline of a search result. Headline is the main heading of the page. The supporting line is the sentence under the headline. Search description is the short text a search result can show under the title.
Leave a field blank and it stays exactly as it is, so nothing is overwritten by accident. When you save, the page goes through the same compliance checks it was built with. A change that would fail them is refused and not saved, the same as everywhere else in the app.
Your home page on a single-page site
On a single-page site, the Pages screen saves your home page's title, headline, supporting line and search description. The Metadata screen shows them the next time you open it, because both screens read the same pages.
The Metadata screen is read-only. If it flags a title or a description, its Fix on Pages link opens this form for that page. You can also ask the assistant in the conversation to change either one for you. The page on metadata checks describes the Metadata screen.
Adding a page, and knowing what you are adding
An Add a page panel sits on the Pages screen. It adds an About page or a Contact page to any site, and a FAQ page to a multi-page site. We write the page from what we already know about your business, run it through the same checks as the rest of the site, place it in the site's footer links and sitemap, and save the previous version so you can go back. Each page you can add has one line saying what it is, so you know what you will get before you click. Once you have every page we can add, the panel says so instead of showing buttons that would do nothing. Adding pages is also step four of the four steps to a finished site.
After a page is added, the screen tells you whether it is live and, when we wrote it, how much came off your usage credits. A page you write yourself in plain paragraphs is not charged. The page on adding pages explains the allowances and the two ways to fill a page of your own.
A Delete this page button appears only on a page you added yourself. You cannot delete a homepage or a legal page from this screen.
One kind of site does not show the Add a page panel: a multi-page site built before we kept each page's own copy, where adding a page would mean rewriting words you already have. The screen says so plainly, and Edit copy still works on every page you have.
Changing the same words on many pages
To change a word or phrase across a whole site, use the same screen. Type the words to find and what they should say instead. You see every place they appear before anything changes, then change all of them in one save, including your site's goal line. The save runs the same checks as any edit and keeps the previous version. For several sites at once, see changing one thing on every site.
Approve a build's cost where you start it
In the Classic view, the build button at the end of the intake conversation shows what the build will cost and builds once you approve it, the same way the Generate page does. You approve the cost in the place where you press the button, not on a screen you have to find first. The page on completing the intake walks through the conversation that comes before it.
What it does not do
- It does not overwrite a field you leave blank.
- It does not save a change that fails the compliance checks.
- It does not write your legal pages, and it does not tell you whether a document you upload is compliant. Publishing there means publishing exactly the file you upload.
- It does not delete a homepage or a legal page.
- It does not promise that a page you edit or add will bring visitors or any particular position in search results. It makes sure each page is checked before it publishes.
If something you need on this screen is missing, send a feature request; a real person reads every one. The page on support and feature requests explains how.

Frequently asked questions
Can I change my home page title and headline?
Yes. On a single-page site, the Pages screen saves your home page's title, headline, supporting line and search description. The Metadata screen shows them the next time you open it.
What happens to a field I leave blank?
It stays exactly as it is. Only the fields you fill in are changed, and the save runs the same compliance checks as the build.
Does adding a page cost anything?
A page you write yourself in plain paragraphs is not charged. When we write the page, the screen tells you afterward how much came off your usage credits.
Where do I fix a title or description that Metadata flags?
On the Pages screen. The Fix on Pages link on the Metadata screen opens the Edit copy form for that page, or you can ask the assistant to make the change.
Can I delete any page from this screen?
No. A Delete this page button appears only on a page you added yourself. A homepage and your legal pages cannot be deleted here.
